It's the long long easter weekend.
I'm not complaining but suddenly it feels like I have nothing to do with so much time on my hands.
Little errands to run, herbs to be potted, chillies to be plucked.
Plants to be fertilized, aphids to kill.
Washing to do be done - but the weather looks gloomy, perhaps it can wait.
Speakers to wire up - but it can wait till the stands arrive, no?
The car needs a good wash and a vacuum, but I am even embarassed to bring it to the car wash. It's in a sad sad state.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Was so-so. Not great.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason - Boring.
Irriversible - this one got me on edge and quite sick.
Before Sunrise - Oh! Ethan Hawke! - Drool!
Before Sunset - Absolutely romantic!

I couldn't have asked for a better Melbourne's autumn day
Blue clear skies, warm sun, slight breeze

A sensation, all not that strange
A feeling, not unfamiliar
This feeling - emptiness, loneliness, the silence
An image of a figure in the corner, arms wrapped around the knees
Head bowed, forehead to the knees
A sinking feeling, a fear knowing that perhaps this feeling could be insatiable.
A want; a need that nothing can fill.
A wasted journey before its beginning.

Restless, unsettled, furrowed brows.

I believe I'm heading into a downward spiral.
I dread going to work these days. I lie in bed, with my eyes shut after the alarm goes off, hoping that some harmless wave of virus will hit me and I would be able to call in sick. Or be sick enough to head into a doctor's and get a medical certificate for 2 weeks.

There have been so much changes at work. Mostly good, but with all changes, comes adaptation. I am not good with adapting to changes in routine, to changes in responsibility. No one wants to take responsibility for things at work anymore. Although it's not always the case, I feel like I have been given the mundane tasks that nobody wants because it is not a priority or it is below them.
Newsflash people: it needs to be done sooner rather then later.

N has finally decided to return home. He's thrown in the towel at work and it'll only be a matter of a week or 2 before he flies off. It'll be sad to see him leave as he and P have been great friends to me over the course of the year. Hopefully he'll be back before we know it.

Time to drag myself to work. It's going to be cloudy and 18 today. Nice weather to stay indoors with tracky-daks, warm socks and a couple of movies on the telly.

I hate responsibilities.

not literally!

But I have been toying with the idea of going on some contiki tour.
In the meantine, fingers crossed that I will win some multi-millon jackpot :)

That'll do me quite nicely, me thinks.

For those who know me well.. I hate having anything to do with the great outdoors. I do not enjoy frolicking in the gardens, walking through greenery or sharing my space with eight legged creatures - or anything with more then 4 legs.

I finally overcame my fear this weekend. I cleaned out the backyard, wiped it down, killed spiders with my bare hands (well, almost. I did have gardening gloves on) and even hung my laundry outdoors - overnight.

I think I am progressing and aligning myself as one with mother nature.

Except for a few holes to be mended and walls to be repainted.

Next up will be cleaning and preparing the courtyard for the housewarming.

I remember being told that as almost everything is found at the click of the mouse,
time becomes secondary, instant is everything; instant is now.
life becomes so fast-paced that we become unable to keep count of hours, days, even years.

I found myself struggling to remember the year I returned to Melbourne. Has time gone by so quickly?
It's only been 2 years - sounds like a long time but it isn't.
I haven't accomplished what I was hoping to do. My job's mundane.. and the fact made worse that I now am no longer as carefree as I was 12 months ago.

What's that phrase?
Ah, yes - "Adult responsibility"
