Inside out

They threatened to pour all day
Windy with humidity like home

I sit on the tram, facing the back
Zooming out, a man starts shouting randomly
Tension and nerves appear on the faces.

Zooming in, like a contrast of white on black
A man chats happily on the phone, oblivious of the ranting and raving..
We get off at the same stop and I cannot help but overhear the one sided conversation.
The one sided conversation of tremendous love and adoration for another.
Envy? Perhaps.

Summer seems to have retracted for now.
Warm days, chilly nights.
At least the allergies have subsided.
Will it be for good? One can only hope.
