A passing weekend

Wet, cold and miserable.
That's the typical weekend weather in Melbourne at the moment.

Nonetheless, it was great spending time with an old friend.
I'm sure she and her young one enjoyed the company of Ned.
Who won't? He's a sooky, little handsome boy!
Biased? Who? Surely not me!

Sunday was spent sitting at a recently discovered little cafe, tucked away from the bustle of South Melbourne.
Sipping my soy latte, munching on my egyptian beans breakfast (Yes, I was expecting farts galore) but Stu seemed to have had a worse time with the olive pate on his tuna melt. *ahem*
Reading the papers at a leisurely pace, it's rejuvenated my love for lazy sundays.
I'm sure Ned appreciated that I skipped school with him - as we both know he doesn't enjoy walking in the rain au naturale.

The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring our artistic side - filling in blank canvases with oil paints.
My new found pleasure.
